We will be hosting a Trashion Show similar to the one seen on Bravo's Project Runway. Can you make an outfit entirely out of recycled materials? Come and strut your stuff at Dawgs After Dark! Contact ugagogreen@gmail.com for more information!
Dawgs After Dark is from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Tate Student Center. It is FREE for students with UGA ID or $5 general admission.

8 Days to Go Green: Thursday, Oct. 18
It's Thirsty Thursday!
Did you know that the Northeast Georgia area is in such a drought emergency that (as of 9/25) we have less than 6 weeks of water in our reservoir? We will be providing tips to conserve water and doing a water bottle swap!
Bring your empty plastic water bottles (Dasani, Aquafina, etc. type bottles) to receive a FREE water bottle made of 70% recycled plastic. We will be at Tate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Ramsey from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. while supplies last!
Also, Athens-Clarke County Recycling has donated recycling bags that we will hand out to students, faculty and staff who pledge to recycle!

It's Trashy Tuesday!
Come out to Tate Plaza from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and bring your paper to recycle. We will be collecting newspapers, old tests, mid-term study supplies that you can't wait to get rid of and more! Anything paper (or cardboard) that you want to get rid of - let's see how big of a pile we can create!
Also, Georgia Power will by handing out CF light bulbs to anyone who signs a pledge promising to conserve energy. CF bulbs are more efficient than regular light bulbs and use less energy to save you money!

National Conservation Conversation: Thursday, Oct. 4
In conjunction with the National Conversation on Climate Change, we will be hosting a forum (much like a town hall meeting) to discuss sustainability efforts at the University of Georgia. Please come out and have questions ready for our panel of experts!!
Speakers will include representatives of the university's Energy Conservation Executive Committee and a new Sustainability Committee created in the physical plant division, as well as members of student environmental organizations that have joined together to form the alliance.
The Conservation Conversation will take place on October 4th at 7:00PM in SLC 101.
